Looth Tooth

Avery finally lost one of his top teeth! This is lost tooth #3. It fell prey to a piece of toast :)

There's also a couple of new necklaces. I did the one on the right and Eddie did the middle one. Mine is made of a stone called African Turquoise that is a richer color than the picture managed to capture. Yay Bead Bazaar!

A Quick Update...

I'm a bit under the weather, but I've been lax at blogging so:
1. Curran's fifth tooth has broken the gum and is on the way out.
2. Avery is a "big boy now" according to him on many things. He wears underwear, no longer uses the extra small potty seat, doesn't need his stepstool to wash his hands, doesn't want to wear a bib, doesn't need a lid on his drinks anymore, can make his own mustard and cream cheese sandwiches (his idea, not mine), and doesn't want a nap. Mom agrees pretty much with all except that last thing. We tried to nap for one day, and had major meltdown by 7pm!
3. Aric's church hired an interim pastor, so his internship will end sometime in the first part of May.
4. Curran really likes to feed himself, and gets fussy if some part of his meal isn't hand-held. He can drink from his tippy cup all on his own too.
5. Avery like to wear ties. (Or 'scarves' as he often calls them.) He wore a bow tie for Easter.

YOU try and take this picture!

Curran's second tooth (it's on the bottom) is well in, so I thought I'd try to take a picture. Uh-huh. Try getting a 5-month-old to cooperate for that! You can't see the tooth, but I thought that the picture turned out rather cute (especially since it mostly cuts out the double chin factor, and he looks much more little boyish).

This sweetling starting eating rice cereal on his five-month birthday, and loves it! He's also enjoying baths more. I tried to hold him while bathing Avery the other day and he kept lunging for the tub. So, okay, I undressed him and plopped him in the tub. He had SO much fun just splashing his arms in the water...and trying to grab Avery's toys. That last bit is finally becoming more of a constant problem, because Curran thinks that his brother's toys are really neat! And of course Avery doesn't like Curran drool on his toys...which leads me to one last scenario:

Poor guy, Avery was giving Curran a good night kiss (which can take a while because Curran doesn't always cooperate by putting his cheek in a kissable position), and Curran had just nursed and...well...Avery got spit up on just as Curran was trying to chew Avery's nose. To Avery's credit he stayed remarkably calm given that he had sour milk all over his face...poor guy :)
