Community garden

This year I finally decided to take the plunge and request a plot in our local community garden.  Since we planted it the weather has been mostly cloudy and cool/rainy, so the plant growth hasn't been very exciting.  But just one full day of sun this week and the cilantro is up to my knees, and a whole new crop of baby cherry tomatoes is growing.  We also planted watermelons, thyme, mint, onion, strawberries, and basil.  I am pretty sure we have volunteer versions of carrots, zucchini, lettuce, and maybe a sunflower making homes in our garden plot.  I used the fresh thyme in a chicken-tortellini soup tonight, and the garden felt very worth it for even that one dish :)
