The New 'Do

Here you go: To the left BEFORE, to the right AFTER! When it's not in the sun it almost looks mahogany instead of so red. I got a bunch of fun layers put in the bottom few inches, so I'm enjoying the new curls :)

Sing a song of sixpence...

Avery wanted to serenade everyone with Twinkle Twinkle, so there you go! The picture on the right is Avery in his chef hat (to go with the aforementioned stove). And below is Curran, yes, standing by himself with couch support. Yesterday I timed him at 3 minutes without falling, and that included him cruising five steps! What that boy will do to get to his brother's toys, I swear! I of course still have to help him into the standing position, but that doesn't bother him.

Oh, Curran also saw the doctor yesterday for a check up and three shots. He is 18 lbs. 4 ozs. and 26.5 inches long. I started him on carrots this week since he liked chewing on whole ones so much.

It's all food today...

Another cute little scootin' video of Curran. Please note that the egg is plastic, not real! We made a little stove for Avery's play food today (gotta love all those extra diaper boxes). The oven door even opens. I got up this morning and poured the jello for Avery's (and my) first jigglers. He loved making them with the duckie cookie cutter, but he didn't like the jello! He said, "It's kinda wierd," and screwed up his face. Oh well, so much for a cool snack!

Hair adventures

So, I think a hair dying is in my future. Do you think I can pull off the blue look? I'm actually leaning toward purple or burgundy... And of course my hair doesn't actually have this cool cut either.

Cardboard and coins

Here's Curran taking care of my junk mail for me. *grin* I think he must be fiber deficient the way he likes to chew on cardboard! The next pic is Avery cleaning his coin collection. We used salted vinegar to get the tarnish off, so it smells like Easter in our house. You can also see his first tattoo on his left arm. He thinks it's pretty cool!

Avery also just starting drawing things. You might be able to see all the little round people with faces and legs on his chalkboard. Some people have quite the stories attached to them. One of them is crying because her baby fell down the stairs. (A bit morbid, I know..) He has also drawn the letters V, T, P and R of his own accord.
