So for my birthday I got a plethora of red ornaments for a gothic tree, but as black ornaments have been super-hard to find, it ended up being a super ruby red tree!
I'm picturing a Nightmare Before Christmas-style wire-frame and black lace angel at the top, black bows in the shapes of ankhs, wizened Santas in black robes clutching presents, orbs that are leering skull-faces on the opposite side, black tinsel, and strings of knucklebones instead of popcorn.
Those are some great thoughts Doug! I especially like the Santas. Unfortunately for the angel I just really don't care for lace, though if it was ratty that could be cool. I had come up with little gargoyles, black velvet ribbons, a star that looks like wrought iron, berry picks painted black (to go with the red ones on the tree already), and maybe some hematite snowflakes for "shine".

I bet that if you started making black Gothmas ornaments, you'd be able to sell them pretty readily. I say go for it!

See? Sounds good to me. I think Gothmas could become a thing.
Aside from a rock musical, that is :)
